The flowmeter mainly consists of an axially levitated orifice, which is located within a PFA tubing. The process flow through the orifice generates a (flow proportional) hydraulic force on the body, which is compensated by a magnetic force. The axial position of the orifice is controlled. So the control current -which induces the magnetic force to the permanent magnet encapsulated in the levitated body - is proportional to the actual flow.

Standard electronic interfaces enable easy integration of the flowmeter with PLC's, control systems and electronic displays. In combination with the Levitronix® Bearing-less Pump System process flow can be controlled in a closed-loop control system.

Viscometer System Software (VSS) is a complete control and data acquisition application for use with our products.

Our controllers make it simple to add additional sensor signals and analyze data by exporting a Microsoft® Excel compatible file. VSS is capable of controlling viscosity by targeting and monitoring viscosity changes. VSS also predicts viscosity for different fluid temperatures. VSS can also control Levitronix® BPS series pumps.
